We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals and families overcome hardship by providing essential resources, disaster recovery support, and long-term community rebuilding solutions.

How Moving Mountains Began

Moving Mountains was born out of a moment of crisis and an extraordinary community response.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Helen and the devastating flood that followed, founders Kerrie Aistrop and Melissa Rogers witnessed firsthand the overwhelming needs of their neighbors.

What began as immediate disaster relief quickly became something bigger: a long-term commitment to ensuring families have support not only during emergencies, but throughout the rebuilding process.

From tragedy came partnership, purpose, and a nonprofit built on hope.

 

What We Do

We focus on meeting urgent needs while also helping families rebuild for the future through practical, hands-on programs.

We gather and provide essential items such as food, clothing, toiletries, and hygiene products to families experiencing hardship.

• Rebuilding & Renovation Support

Through partnerships with donors, businesses, and other nonprofits, we help           distribute building supplies, tools, and resources needed for home restoration and recovery.

• Community Outreach & Guidance

We work directly with families to connect them to available resources, offer support navigating relief efforts, and ensure no one faces crisis alone.
